OUR MISSION
The mission of Sandy Ridge Equine Rescue and Youth Foundation is to provide at-risk youth and individuals with disabilities the opportunity to interact with horses and to provide abused and neglected horses a shelter and rehabilitation.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Working with horses affords individuals (youth) the opportunity to experience a different type environment from which they are accustomed. When they experience an alternative life-style, they are able to realize that they have a choice in life. Once a positive interest or hobby (horses) is developed, they do not rely on alcohol or drugs to have fun, and people with disabilities-now have an "ability " that is recognizable and fun.
